Cogniti Sense Enterprise operates Remarks, a photo editing app that lets you put remarks on photos and pictures. This policy explains the app’s privacy practices, optional Box file transfers and contact enquiries. Remarks does not collect personal data for Cogniti Sense Enterprise or retain app user data. No Remarks user account is required.

1. No Remarks account required

You do not need to create a Remarks user account to use the app. If you choose to connect Box, you use a separate Box account. Box account creation and use are governed by Box’s own terms and privacy policy.

2. Photos, videos and permissions

When you choose media for editing, Remarks needs access to the selected photos or videos and the content you add, such as remarks, watermarks and comments. Media may contain faces, location information and other personal details. You can manage photo-library and notification permissions in your device settings.

Cogniti Sense Enterprise does not collect or retain your photos, videos, remarks or other app user data. Files you save on your device remain under your control. If you choose to transfer files to Box or share them through another service, that service processes the information you send under its own privacy practices.

3. Optional Box uploads and downloads

When you choose the Box integration, Remarks transfers the image files you select between your device and Box. Uploads may include comments you choose to add. Downloaded files become available to the app for the action you request. File content and metadata involved in the transfer are processed by Box.

Connecting Box requires authorization to access the files permitted by your Box account and the integration’s granted permissions. Box access credentials, if issued to the app, should be protected and used only for the authorized integration. You can manage or revoke the connection through Box’s account controls. Removing the connection does not automatically delete files already uploaded to Box.

Your Box files are subject to your Box sharing settings. Review those settings before uploading sensitive images. Read the Box Privacy Policy for information about Box’s processing and retention.

4. Contact requests

If you submit the contact form, we receive your name, email address, selected category and message to respond to your request. Please do not include passwords, access tokens or sensitive images. The form is intended to use Mailgun for email delivery; Mailgun processes message content and delivery information when this service is enabled. See Mailgun’s Privacy Policy.

5. Purposes and sharing

Remarks does not collect app user data for analytics, advertising or crash reporting. Optional Box transfers process the files you choose to transfer. If you contact us, the information you provide is used to respond to your enquiry. Box handles file transfers, and Mailgun handles contact-message delivery when enabled.

6. Retention and deletion

You can delete photos and edited files using the controls on your device or in Box. Deleting a local copy does not delete a Box copy, and deleting a Box copy does not delete a downloaded local copy. Because Cogniti Sense Enterprise does not collect or retain app user data, there is no app-data retention period. Information you voluntarily send through the contact form is separate from app user data. This policy does not assign a retention period to contact correspondence; Box and Mailgun apply their own policies to information they process.

7. Security and international processing

Device security, account permissions and careful sharing help protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Box and Mailgun may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable policies and agreements.

8. Your choices and rights

You can limit device permissions, stop using optional integrations, manage files and sharing in Box, and contact us about access, correction or deletion of information we hold. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights, including objection, restriction or a complaint to a data-protection authority. 9. Children’s privacy

Remarks does not collect or retain app user data, including children’s app data. Parents or guardians with concerns about information voluntarily sent through the contact form or an optional third-party service can contact us.

10. Changes and contact
